]]> ਇਹ ਮਿਹਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੁਜਰਾਤੀ ਕਿਰਤ ‘ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਉਸ਼ਨ ਕਿੱਸਾ’ 1859 ਈ: ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਜੌਹਨ ਬੀਮਜ਼ ਖਾਤਰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਦੁਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ । ਇਸਦਾ ਇਕੋ ਇਕ ਨੁਸਖਾ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਆਫਿਸ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਲੰਡਨ ਵਿਚ (ਨੰ: 10L, Paj MS. B10) ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਖੁਦ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਜੌਹਨ ਬੀਮਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਲੰਡਨ ਆ ਕੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਤੋਸ਼ੇਖਾਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ । ਇਹ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਹਿੰਦੁਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਵਾਰੀਖ਼ ਸੰਮਤ ਦੇ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਛੰਦਬੱਧ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ । ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ, ਇਸ ਰਚਨਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉੱਨੀਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਕੁ ਝਾਕੀ ਦੇਖ ਸਕਣਗੇ ।
