]]> ਇਹ ਨਾਵਲ ਗਭਰੂਟਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੈ; ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਪੱਖੋਂ ਸਮਝਣ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਨ । ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਤ-ਅੱਠ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ, ਨਵੇਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਜੁਗ ਦੇ ਕਬੀਲਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮਝੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ । ਨਵੇਂ ਜੁਗ ਦਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਤੇ ਘਟੀਆ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਤਿੱਖੇ ਤੇ ਨਰੋਏ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ । ਉਹ ਸੁਲਝਿਆ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਵਧੀਆ ਦਸਤਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ । ਸਮਾਜੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਦੇਣ, ਮਿਲਵਰਤਣ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਸਤੀਆਂ ਟੱਪ ਕੇ, ਦੂਰ ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਤੱਕ ਫੈਲ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ । ਜੇਕਰ ਪੱਥਰ ਜੁੱਗ ਦਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੱਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਧੂਹ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਚਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਫਰਜ਼ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਲੱਭਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਰੜੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਗਭਰੂਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰ ਝੁਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ ।
