]]> 20ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬਨਾਮਾ ‘ਦੇਸ਼-ਪੰਜਾਬ’ ਦੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਦੀ ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਹੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਲੁਕਾ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਲ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਲਿਖਣ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਪੰਨੇ ਭਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਟਨਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਖ ਸਕਦੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਦਾ ਵਰਨਣ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਣ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

‘ਪੰਜਾਬਨਾਮਾ’ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਦਾ ਜਿਲਦ ਦਾ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਵੀ ਇਹੀ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੈਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਜ਼ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀੜੇ-ਮਕੌੜੇ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ’ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਵਾਕ ‘ਚਿੜੀਓਂ ਸੇ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਜ ਲੜਾਉਂ’ ਸੱਚ ਕਰ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲ਼ਾ ਗੋਰਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ਼ ਲੈਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ’ਤੇ ਕਾਬਜ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਚਿੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਆਈ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਗੋਰਾ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਧ ਤਕ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੌੜਿਆ ਤੇ ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਬਦਨਸੀਬੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ ’ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਲਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇ ਨੇ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਤਕ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੁਰ ਦੀ ਟਿਕਟ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਦੀ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਜਿਲਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਸਾਏ ਚਿੱਤਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਨਾਲ਼ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ।
