]]> ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ-ਜੋਤਿ ਨੇ ਭੁੱਲੀ ਭਟਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਈ ਨੂੰ ‘ਮਾਰਗ’ ਦੀ ਸੋਝੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ‘ਜੀਅ-ਦਾਨ’ ਦਿੱਤਾ । ਡੂੰਘੇ ਹਨੇਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਗ੍ਰਸਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ-ਜੋਤਿ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਚਮਤਕਾਰੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਹੈ । ਮਹਾਂ-ਕਾਵਿਕ ਪਾਸਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ 4 ਜਿਲਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਹਾਂ-ਕਾਵਿ ਵਿਚ ਉਲੀਕਣ ਦਾ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਜਿਲਦ ਆਦਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ ।
