]]> ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ-ਜੋਤ ਨੇ ਭੁੱਲੀ ਭਟਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਈ ਨੂੰ ‘ਮਾਰਗ’ ਦੀ ਸੋਝੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ‘ਜੀਅ-ਦਾਨ’ ਦਿੱਤਾ । ਡੂੰਘੇ ਹਨੇਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਗ੍ਰਸਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ-ਜੋਤਿ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਚਮਤਕਾਰੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਹੈ । ਮਹਾਂ-ਕਾਵਿਕ ਪਾਸਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ 4 ਜਿਲਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਹਾਂ-ਕਾਵਿ ਵਿਚ ਉਲੀਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਚੌਥੀ ਜਿਲਦ ਦਸਮ ਜੋਤਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ । ਕਲਗ਼ੀਧਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਕਨਾਤੀਸੀ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਂ-ਕਾਵਿਕ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਣ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਯਤਨ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੀਮਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ । ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਅਨਿੰਨ ਸੇਵਕ ਭਾਈ ਨੰਦ ਲਾਲ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਵੀ ਮਹਿਬੂਬ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਰਵੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਿਰਮਾਣਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਬਾਦਤ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੇ ਅਣਛੋਹ ਦਿਸਹੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਵੱਲੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਸਦਕਾ ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਣਛੋਹ ਦਿਸਹੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨਤਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੁੱਧਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਠਕ-ਹਿਰਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਆਭਾ ਦੇ ਦੈਵੀ ਝਲਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
