]]> ਇਸ ਨਾਵਲ ਵਿਚ ਅਮੀਨ ਮਲਿਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸਚਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਅਲੜ੍ਹ ਜੁਆਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਭੋਲ੍ਹਾਪਣ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਿਆਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅੱਖ ਝਪਕਣੀ ਵੀ ਔਖੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਨਮ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਮੀਨ ਮਲਿਕ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਦੁੱਖਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਵਰਨਣ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ “ਅੱਥਰੀ” ਰੱਖਣਾ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ।
