]]> ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਬਾਣੀਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੌ ਅਠਾਸੀ (388) ਵਾਰ ‘ਪੰਛੀ’ (‘ਪੰਛੀ’; ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਂ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੀ ਜਾਤੀ) ਅਤੇ ਬਾਈ (22) ਖ਼ਾਸ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਵਾਂਗ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੌ ਪੰਜਤਾਲੀ (345) ਸਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੁਕਾਂ/ਸਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਹੈ । ਹਰ ਇਕ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਰੁਚੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹੀ ਸੀ । ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਕੋ ਪੰਛੀ ਦਾ ਕਈ ਨਾਵਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਲੇਖਿਕਾ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਦੇ, ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਤੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੱਦ-ਕਾਠ, ਰੰਗ-ਰੂਪ, ਕਾਰ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ-ਸਹਿਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਰਮਾਣਿਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਪੰਛੀ ਦੇ ਆਕਰਸ਼ਕ ਚਿੱਤਰ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਨੁਕਤੇ ਤੋਂ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਧਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਪੁਸਤਕ, ਪਾਠਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਫ਼ਾਇਦੇਮੰਦ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
