]]> ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਦੇ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵੇਕਲੀ ਮਹਾਨਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ‘ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ’ ਵਰਗੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਇਕ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਸਿੱਖ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਚੀ ਗਈ । ਇਸ ਦਾ ਮੰਤਵ, ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਸਤਿਆਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਹੋਰ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਭਾਰ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਰੇਨਾ-ਸ੍ਰੋਤ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ । ਇਹ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਏਸੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਸੰਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਚਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਵਰਣਨ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਖਣ, ਸਮਝਣ ਤੇ ਮੰਨਣਯੋਗ ਚੋਖੀ ਸਮੱਗ੍ਰੀ ਹੈ । ਪੁਸਤਕ ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਅਖ਼ਬਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਤ ਲੇਖਾਂ, ਖ਼ਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ । ਪੁਸਤਕ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਚਿੱਤਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਫੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫ਼ਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਰਾਮ ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਬਾਗ਼’ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਖਿੱਚੇ ।
